Notes
'Della Recca' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Della Recca') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. Its columnar habit fits small spaces, and the spring flowers attract butterflies and bees. It is grown for eating fresh, but it is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for fruit.
Pairs well with Spiked speedwell, Ice Follies daffodil, Gro-Low fragrant sumac, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
