Notes

'Deshojo' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Deshojo') is a shrub for specimen plantings, accents, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows slowly into a broad shape, so give it room. Bees and birds visit it, and it tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Midwinter Fire common dogwood, Spring snowflake, and Primrose.
