Notes

'Doreen' peony (Paeonia 'Doreen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The Japanese type flowers are light rose pink with yellow-tipped centers, and they are fragrant. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and Henry E. Sass bred this peony.

Pairs well with Dancing Queen hosta, White Swan coneflower, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
