Notes

'Dou Kou' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Dou Kou') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, light pink semi-double flowers open in mid to late spring and fade to near white as they age. The upright stems grow to 29 inches and hold themselves up without staking.

Pairs well with Blue Mouse Ears hosta, Wild geranium, and Western sword fern.
