Notes
'Drama Queen' poppy (Papaver somniferum 'Drama Queen') is an annual for borders and low maintenance gardens. Cool weather suits it, and it can take a light frost. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late summer, draws butterflies and bees, and tolerates drought. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Ostfriesland sage, Lady's mantle, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
