Notes

'Lauren's Grape' poppy (Papaver somniferum 'Lauren's Grape') is an annual for borders and low maintenance gardens. It grows well in cool weather and can ride out a light frost. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies and bees. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Drought tolerance makes it an easy plant to keep.

Pairs well with Ostfriesland sage, Lady's mantle, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
