Notes
'Duchess's Favourite' apple (Malus domestica 'Duchess's Favourite') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Bees visit the flowers, which open from early to late spring. The fruits take on a red flush and taste sharp but fairly mild. Mr Cree of Addlestone bred it.
Pairs well with Plum, Wild geranium, Thimbleberry, and Indian grass.
