Notes
'Durone Nero 1' 1 sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Durone Nero 1') is a columnar tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. Early in the season you can pick the fruit, which is grown for fresh eating. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers from early to late spring. This tree is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for pollination.
Pairs well with Incrediball Blush smooth hydrangea, Red Riding Hood tulip, and Spiked speedwell.
