Notes

'Dzevera Garden' common medlar (Crataegus germanica 'Dzevera Garden') is a tree for specimen planting and fruit harvests. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It stays naturally compact and bears white to cream blossoms in early to late spring. The brown fruit ripens in fall and is high in tannin, so you wait until it softens and wrinkles, a step called bletting. The tree is self fertile and adds fall foliage color.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Snowdrop, and Tree peony.
