Notes

'Early Canary' peony (Paeonia 'Early Canary') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, light yellow, full double flowers reach 5 to 6 inches wide, and strong stems may spread in rough weather, so give them support. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Limelight hydrangea, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
