Notes
'Eclipse' bigleaf hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Eclipse') is a shrub for containers, focal points, mass plantings, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The leaves stay dark all season, and the pink and red flowers have white centers. Plant it in full sun to bring out the richest burgundy tones.
Pairs well with September Charm anemone, Snowdrop, and Evelyn rose.
