Notes
'Ecstasy' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ecstasy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The pink Japanese type blooms have satiny petals around a comb of short yellow petaloids. They are fragrant and open in early summer. They last well in a vase, so you can cut them often.
Pairs well with Dalmatian bellflower, Japanese spirea, Sensitive fern, and Carlton daffodil.
