Notes

'Edward VII' apple (Malus domestica 'Edward VII') is a tree for the food garden, grown for cooking. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms late in spring, so frosts rarely catch the flowers, and bees visit the blossom. Barbourne Nurseries bred it in 1908. It is not self-fertile, so plant a second apple nearby for pollination.

Pairs well with Pink Lemonade blueberry, Flowering quince, Bowl of Cream peony, and Blue fescue.
