Notes

'Elegant Flash' peony (Paeonia 'Elegant Flash') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant lavender flowers have ivory tips and watermelon flares, and they attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. New leaves emerge burgundy and turn green.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Curly Fries hosta, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
