Notes

'Elgin' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Elgin') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light rose pink flowers have good substance and depth, and each bloom is about 6½ inches wide. The plant grows about 32 inches tall. William Brown bred it.

Pairs well with Stained Glass hosta, Miss Kim lilac, and Spanish bluebell.
