Notes
'Elisa' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Elisa') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The small, cup-shaped flowers are carmine-pink with salmon shading and silvery highlights. The stems are good and the plant grows to a medium height. Auguste Dessert bred it in 1922.
Pairs well with Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Miss Kim lilac, Pink Impression tulip, and Lungwort.
