Notes

Elmleaf goldenrod (Solidago ulmifolia) is a perennial for naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. Arching, hairy stalks carry yellow flowers in vase-shaped clusters from mid to late summer and again in early to mid autumn. Deer tend to pass it by. Butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Knapweed, and Black oak.
