Notes

'Elsie Lee' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Elsie Lee') is an evergreen shrub for borders, specimen planting, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Pink flowers with bluish overtones open in early to late spring and attract hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows 36 to 48 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Autumn fern, Japanese forest grass, and Fringed bleeding heart.
