Notes

'Emerald Mound' dwarf honeysuckle (Lonicera xylosteum 'Emerald Mound') is a shrub for hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It forms a low mound 30 to 36 inches tall and 48 to 72 inches wide, so give it room to spread. Yellow flowers open in late spring, and the plant is drought tolerant. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Snowberry, Duchesse de Nemours peony, and Prairie dropseed.
