Notes

'Emerald Spreader' creeping juniper (Juniperus horizontalis 'Emerald Spreader') is a shrub for rock gardens and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It stays under 9 inches tall and spreads 60 to 72 inches, so give it room. The evergreen foliage stays on the plant all year, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Blue grama, Woolly yarrow, and Prairie dropseed.
