Notes

'Emily MacKenzie' montbretia (Crocosmia crocosmiiflora 'Emily MacKenzie') is a bulb with tall, sword-shaped leaves. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Large, dark orange flowers with yellow throats and red rings open from early to late summer and attract hummingbirds. Rabbits tend to pass it by. The blooms are excellent for cutting.

Pairs well with Yellow iris, Sweet woodruff, and Grape hyacinth.
