Notes

'Emma-Jayne' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Emma-Jayne') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, soft pink double blooms are ruffled and open in mid to late spring and early summer. Strong stems hold the large flowers above dark green foliage. John and Dot McFarlane introduced it in 1996.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Earth Angel hosta, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Polish Spirit clematis.
