Notes

'Eric the Red' iris (Iris 'Eric the Red') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It bears wine red blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. It grows 36 to 48 inches tall and 30 to 36 inches wide.

Pairs well with Solomon's seal, Cinnamon fern, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
