Notes

'Eye Caramba' moss phlox (Phlox subulata 'Eye Caramba') is a perennial for rock gardens, ground cover, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It blooms in early to late spring and attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It grows at a moderate rate and tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Nodding onion, Eastern columbine, and Black Hero tulip.
