Notes

'Fearn's Pippin' apple (Malus domestica 'Fearn's Pippin') is a tree for the food garden, grown for eating fresh and for cooking. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms from early to late spring and attracts bees. Mr Bagley bred it in 1780. The fruit keeps for 1 to 2 months, and you need a second apple tree nearby for pollination.

Pairs well with Honeyberry, Garlic chives, and Cinnamon fern.
