Notes

'Fengdan Bai' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Fengdan Bai') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single white flowers are medium large and sit on upright stems. The stamens and stigmas are violet-purple, and the petals may open with a lavender blush that quickly fades. Keep it out of wet spots, because it does not tolerate wet conditions.

Pairs well with Iris, Ostrich fern, Pink Impression tulip, and Polish Spirit clematis.
