Notes

'Fern B.' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Fern B.') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep pink double blooms are almost cone shaped. Stems reach about 30 inches tall, and the bright green foliage stays clean. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1983.

Pairs well with Picture tulip, Ostrich fern, and Gentian.
