Notes

'Festive Mood' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Festive Mood') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms from mid to late spring into early summer with red and pink semi-double flowers. Each stem holds one large bud, and the blooms stand well above the mid green leaves. John and Dot McFarlane introduced it in 2000.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Jeana garden phlox, and Niobe clematis.
