Notes

'Feuerhexe' carnation (Dianthus 'Feuerhexe') is a perennial for borders and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It forms a low mat only 3 to 6 inches tall. Fragrant, bright magenta flowers open in late spring and early summer. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Alexander Fleming peony, and Picture tulip.
