Notes

'Fice' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Fice') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. Its columnar habit fits in tight spaces, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms from early to late spring. The fruit is grown for eating fresh and ripens in mid season. You will need a second cherry tree nearby, since this one is not self-fertile.

Pairs well with Pinky Winky panicle hydrangea, Ice Follies daffodil, Many Happy Returns peony, and Ernest Markham clematis.
