Notes

'Fiery Tempest' avens (Geum 'Fiery Tempest') is a perennial for borders, mixed beds, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Scarlet, saucer-shaped flowers rise on thin, wiry stems above lush, semi-evergreen leaves. Rabbits tend to pass it by. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Monsieur Jules Elie peony, Tall fescue, and Snowdrop.
