Notes

'Fiesta' peony (Paeonia 'Fiesta') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, single flowers are orange-red on tall, stiff stems, and the color holds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1956.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Clustered bellflower, Carlton daffodil, and Blue grama.
