Notes

'Finlandia' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Finlandia') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The white, cup-shaped flowers have a pale yellow center that looks almost white. They open in late spring on strong stems about 36 to 40 inches tall. Melvin Pees bred it in 1979.

Pairs well with Ostrich fern, Grape hyacinth, and Sedge.
