Notes

'Firecracker' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Firecracker') is an annual for borders, containers, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. The dwarf, branching plants carry red and gold flowers that bring in butterflies, bees, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer. Plants grow fast and tolerate drought.

Pairs well with Tidal Wave Cherry petunia, Zahara Starlight Rose zinnia, and Red fescue.
