Notes

'First Arrival' peony (Paeonia 'First Arrival') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The fragrant pink blooms shade to lavender and attract butterflies and bees. Roger F. Anderson bred it in 1986.

Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, Blue fescue, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Niobe clematis.
