Notes

'Flamenco' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Flamenco') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant salmon-pink flowers open in early to mid spring. Dark red flares spread across the petals and fade to white edges. Irmtraud Rieck bred it.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Black Parrot tulip, Niobe clematis, and Stella de Oro daylily.
