Notes

'Flying Pink Saucer' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Flying Pink Saucer') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant pink blooms are huge, semi-double, and shaped like saucers, with concentric circles of round guard petals. Each stem holds one bud high above the foliage, so the flowers wave in the breeze. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Smooth hydrangea, Pink Impression tulip, Ostrich fern, and Dalmatian bellflower.
