Notes

'Frances' peony (Paeonia 'Frances') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The early single blooms are fragrant and pale peach with a warm, glowing golden-yellow center, and they draw butterflies and bees. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Moonshine yarrow, Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
