Notes

'Franklin’s Pride' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Franklin’s Pride') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Late in spring it bears large, fragrant, full pink flowers shaped like roses. The stiff stems hold the blooms up, and the leathery leaves look good all season. It is an improved Walter Faxon.

Pairs well with Bellwort, Ostrich fern, Picture tulip, and Hummingbird sweet pepperbush.
