Notes
'Franziska Maria' clematis (Clematis 'Franziska Maria') is a vine for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the mauve blooms. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Mogens Nyegaard Olesen bred it in 2005.
Pairs well with Blue Paradise garden phlox, Lady's mantle, and Iris.
