Notes

'Fuka-Shigi' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Fuka-Shigi') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single flowers are carmine-pink, and you can cut them for a vase. Place it in a border where the bloom color can stand out. Goos & Koenemann introduced it in 1893.

Pairs well with Blue star, Sedge, and Greig's tulip.
