Notes

'Full Sun Improved' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Full Sun Improved') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its yellow, red, mahogany, or bicolor petals surround a brown to purple center, and bees, butterflies, and birds visit them. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Plants grow fast and stand tall.

Pairs well with Radiance cosmos, Profusion Double Deep Salmon zinnia, and Red fescue.
