'Gangwon-Do' tea plant (Camellia sinensis 'Gangwon-Do') is a shrub for tea harvests, hedges, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. It bears white to cream flowers in early to mid autumn. You can pluck the top three young leaves from the branch tips during the warmer months. Prune it to any size you like, even as a stand-in for boxwood.
