Notes

'Garden Glory' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Garden Glory') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1956. The double, anemone type blooms open in late spring, and the dark red color holds. Stiff stems keep the tall plants upright.

Pairs well with Sedge, Grape hyacinth, and Ostrich fern.
