Notes
'General Hector McDonald' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'General Hector McDonald') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are carmine-pink, so they bring bold color to a bouquet or a garden bed. Kelway bred it.
Pairs well with Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Inkberry, Sedge, and Hinoki cypress.
