Notes

'Genkimon' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Genkimon') is a shrub for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears cream flowers that look lovely in a vase or beside darker foliage plants. Plant it where you can enjoy the blooms up close. The Chugai Nursery introduced it in 1932.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Woodland phlox, Bottlebrush buckeye, and Wild ginger.
