Notes
'German Extra Hardy' garlic (Allium sativum 'German Extra Hardy') is a bulb grown for cooking, roasting, and long storage. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Each bulb holds 4 to 7 cloves that taste hot raw and sweet roasted, and they store for 6 to 9 months. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Plants reach 18 to 24 inches tall.
Pairs well with Incrediball Blush smooth hydrangea, Gardenia peony, and Soraya sunflower.
