Notes

'Gibraltar' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Gibraltar') is a shrub for borders, specimen plantings, shade gardens, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is evergreen, and its fragrant orange flowers open in early to late spring. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Sum and Substance hosta, and Red maple.
