Notes

'Gigantea' rusty foxglove (Digitalis ferruginea 'Gigantea') is a perennial with tall spikes of orange bell-shaped flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Deer tend to pass it by. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms from early to late summer. It is short-lived but self seeds, so volunteers may pop up in your border.

Pairs well with Orange daylily, Blue fescue, and Panicle hydrangea.
