Notes

'Gilberte' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Gilberte') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double pink flowers are fragrant, so they make a nice addition to a cut flower bouquet. Give the blooms a sunny spot where you can enjoy the scent up close. Victor Lemoine & Sons bred it in 1928.

Pairs well with Hosta, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Carlton daffodil.
